The Global Network for Systematic Health Care was established based on global standards and worldwide on-line communication. The first meeting of interested parties was held in Thailand on Feb. 8-10, 2003. About 80 people from 11 countries participated in this meeting, including deans and faculty members of dental schools, practicing dentists, dental students and engineers in dental indsutry. More than 50 dentists worldwide were registered as founding members including current and retired deans and administrators of dental schools and institutes.
Beginning in the 1960s many writers and speakers have presented a concept identified with Daryl Beach DMD and conducted courses for treatment systems based on it.
The concept centers on the positions, movements, contacts and discomfort that we sense within our bodies as both providers and receivers of care. The scope of concerns includes derivation of all acts, space and human interface with technology in clinics, hospitals or field care for achieving desired outcomes. The concept on which the treatment system is based is widely called pd (proprioceptive derivation) or dp (derivations from proprioception). The concept has been also identified as System Logic or Performance Logic.
During the 1970s the concept was applied to an information structure by linking pd order with meanings of 0 (zero) and numeric order.
Many thousands of health-oriented patient and clinic records exist today in numeric orders based on health=0, the human body=0, and the total parts of body systems or organs such as the nervous system, heart or dento-alveolar arches=0. These uses of 0 linked with numeric scales provide the base for systematic patient and clinic records designed for worldwide use.
Pd courses are being conducted in several languages, so that the 0-9 information structure was extended to identify the essence of the concept for worldwide learning. This information structure provides a global syntax for both reading and speaking specialized terms plus a global translation hub for all regional terminologies. The linkage of pd order, 0 based order and numeric order is the key to global standards for systematic health care. The key identifies the easiest and simplest way to achieve the desired outcomes of patient care. Computer programs that link the global key to photos, graphics, sound, measurements and everyday words now provide the main access to worldwide use.
